8 Ways To Stay Focused And Productive

Before I could start with this blog post, I would like to tell you that I am not an expert in lifestyle topics like these. I draft what is in my mind, what I do, and what works best for me. I believe that I will be able to connect with people who read my blog through these topics and get to know more about me.

I am a person who thinks that everyday should be productive and I used to think that I should feel proud about myself at the end of the day. But sadly, I don’t do it and I keep giving reasons for not being productive. Then, I somehow found a way to have a routine for myself, which I can follow everyday. But again I was not able to continue that routine for a long time because I felt that I was forcing myself into something which I am not used to.

When I started to analyse my day, I started to think that I can do certain things differently so that I can be active throughout the day. So I came up with a few lifestyle changes which I started to follow, which made a HUGE difference in my productivity as well. I have put down some points that I follow, which in turn makes me happy and productive.

Shopping Tips!

Hello everyone,

Everyone loves shopping, but there are some important things to do which can make your entire shopping experience even more enjoyable. Here, in this post I will be compiling certain to-do’s while shopping which reduces stress after shopping and also prevents money burning a hole in your pocket.

So lets get started,

1. Deciding on a budget

Before you start shopping or when you plan to shop, always keep in mind to frame a budget keeping in mind your other expenses.Always focus to shop a little lower than the framed budget. Now this can be tricky, when you want to shop for a certain amount, we always tend to shop a little over the budget, but when you focus lower than the framed budget, you will avoid feeling guilty of over spending and not crunch on your other expenses.

2. Eat and Shop.


Always remember to step out for shopping right after eating a meal at home. You will save some money from eating out or if you want to shop for long hours, you will save a meal. Never shop on a hungry stomach, because you will not be able to make decisions or have a calm mind while shopping on an empty stomach.

3. Shopping Companion



When you shop with your friend, your mum or your family, always keep in mind that its important to take suggestions from them. But its equally important to listen to your mind. So never compromise on anything you like, take suggestions from others and decide for yourself. The final decision should be yours completely. This way, you will avoid thinking and getting depressed about something you liked but did not buy.

4. Online shopping Trap

When you shop online, always cross check if the website is trustworthy. Read reviews and shopping experiences while shopping in a website for the first time. Never shop without knowing about the website, their shipping procedures or hidden costs.

5. Use Coupons

These days coupons are so famous and available for food, clothing, salon, grocery and what not. Always search for coupons for that particular purchase. Even if you get a 2% or 5% coupon online, it will save you some money. There are certain websites, that solely advertise coupons, always have a check on those websites if you tend to shop a lot.

6. Make a List


Make a list of things you need, and the things you have whenever possible. I have a planner in my handbag, a notepad at home, so whenever I need something I write it down n take it with me while I go for shopping. It is very important to write down the things you have, which avoids buying the same thing over and over again.

7. Payment Option

Always try and pay using your debit card. If you have to use a credit card, always see to that you don’t cross your budget/limit. This always avoids the hassle of paying bills next month. I have seen many people who spend beyond their budget by using credit cards and struggle paying bills next month.

8. Keep yourself Hydrated


Always carry a bottle of water with you when you shop. Shopping can be tiring, especially shopping in a mall can be even more tiring because you have to walk and spend so much of energy. So keep yourself hydrated so that you don’t get dehydrated and tired.

Have A Happy Day With These 5 Morning Rituals!

Having a good day or a bad day is completely unpredictable. But you can somewhat make your bad day a better day by following some rituals. Your mentality in the morning sets the mood for the rest of the day.


I feel that everyone should do this because being positive and spreading positive vibes is more important these days. It not only makes you happy but also makes people around you happy.

So lets get started,

1. Wake up to something you love


Now this can be ANYTHING you love. it can be your mobile phone, a cup of coffee/ tea, morning walk, cuddling in bed, cuddling with your pet or whatever. Just give some “ME” time and do what you love first thing in the morning.

But also keep in mind to set a time for this, because you don’t want to run late. If you can afford just 2 mins of your time to one thing you love, do it first thing in the morning. I always like to have a cup of tea when I wake up, and this keeps me energized throughout the day and keeps me active.

So do something which you look forward to everyday!

2. Plan your day



Even if you are a stay-at-home-mom, plan your day. Have a to-do list for your day and stay disciplined and consistent. Nothing feels better than the satisfaction you get at the end of the day when you have done everything on the to-do list.

I usually have a notepad to write down my ideas and plans and I also maintain a planner with the to-do list. I make sure that I stay consistent and it makes my day productive and happier. There are a lot of applications on the internet to plan your day but I personally prefer the old school way.

3.Have a healthy breakfast


NEVER SKIP YOUR BREAKFAST. This makes a huge impact on your mental and physical health. When you start having an early and healthy breakfast everyday, you will surely notice a huge difference in your lifestyle.

I usually have porridge and boiled egg for breakfast but not always. And I also make sure I have a heavy breakfast so that i feel full and I have the energy to start the day. I have also noticed that I complete most of the work successfully during the mornings because I feel energetic and happier.

4. Spend some time for exercise


This is something most of us don’t do or neglect in our life. I usually dedicate 20 mins any time during the day for my workout. It can be a brisk walk, climbing the stairs, yoga or any form of exercise. But I make sure I do it continuously for 20 mins a day.

5. Inspirational quotes



Last but not the least, I try and spend at least 15 mins a day to talk to someone who inspires me a lot. I spend time with my husband and I get inspired talking to him because I personally feel that he can spread positive vibes and gives me ideas and insights and teaches me how to approach certain situations in life.

You can always go to the internet and search for motivational quotes, there are a lot of quotes in pinterest or talk to someone who motivates and inspires you. Some people might find it weird to read motivational quotes but I feel it actually works because whoever you are, you need an inspiration and motivation to keep going.

Alright, hopefully you got some ideas or inspirations through this post and how to make yourself happy everyday. Practice makes a man perfect and by following these simple rituals in your life everyday you can make your life happier.

I would also like to tell you, if you are always thinking of not-so-good-things, you will continue to to do that. But if you practice to keep yourself happy, it will definitely become a way of life.
