Juicy Chemistry Lavender and Sage Hair Oil – Review

Hello Everyone,

I am going to review a hair oil from Juicy Chemistry today. I have been using their products for a year now and tried almost one from each category of products. They have amazing products from skincare, hair care, foot care, body care and lip products as well.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

The emollient and hair softening properties make this product a natural moisturizer for your hair. Adds softness and sheen to your hair while stimulating hair growth. With ingredients like almond oil, jojoba oil, lavender and sage essential oils, this oil blend prevents scalp inflammation while promoting thick hair.

  • Enriched with vitamins that promote hair growth
  • Light and fast absorbing
  • Provides natural hair with great luster
  • Provides new hair growth by improving elasticity and repairing dryness
  • Hydrating properties mean you have less breakage
  • The less breakage you have the more length you retain
  • Helps fight dandruff and itchy scalp
  • Encourages thickening of hair
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Massage adequate amount of the oil on to the scalp and massage gently from the root to the tips. For best results leave it overnight and rinse with mild shampoo.
INGREDIENTS:
Olive oil, Almond oil, Jojoba oil, Coconut oil, Castor oil, Vitamin E oil, Rosemary essential oil, Sage essential oil, Peppermint essential oil, Bergamot essential oil, Lavender essential oil, dried rosemary herb, dried senna flowers, dried lavender flower, dried mint herb.
MY REVIEW:
The Lavender and Sage hair oil comes in a plastic bottle packaging. They usually send all products bubble wrapped so there was no problem of leakage for any product so far. The oil is light green in color and has herbs which can be seen from the outside. There is no filter or pump, so when you take the oil from the bottle, you also tend to get herbs along with it, which is a little messy, because you either have to remove the herbs and apply or apply it with the herbs. It would be great of they had a filter like cap to filter the herbs from the oil.

The natural oils in the ingredient list moisturizes your hair to a great extent. I usually apply this oil  and wait for 20 mins and then rinse off with a mild shampoo. It makes your hair soft and shiny which is obvious because of the goodness of all the oils. The oil has a strong peppermint smell, so if you do not like oils with strong herb-like smell, then this is not the one for you.
I use this oil once a week in my hair care routine and I have seen drastic changes in my hair. This oil also reduced dandruff and hairfall to a great extent. This oil also tamed my frizzy hair and made it shiny and moisturized. It also removes dirt thoroughly and since it is a thin oil, you can remove the oil in just one wash.
QUANTITY:
110ml
PRICE:
INR 600.
PROS:
1. Controls hairfall & dandruff
2. Thin consistency
3. Makes hair soft, shiny and moisturized.
4. Tames frizzy hair
5. Great ingredients and fully natural
CONS:
1. Packaging needs to be improved with filter.
2. Strong smell.
RATING:
4.5/5
FINAL VERDICT:
I love how this oil moisturizes my hair and leaves it shiny and soft. It also controls dandruff and hair fall. I would highly recommend this product to everyone.

Maybelline Colossal Super Black Kajal – Review

Hello everyone,

I am back after a short break to review the Maybelline’s new launch Maybelline colossal super black kajal. I know all Indian girls love kajal and I am no exception. Kajal is a must in my everyday routine. And one of my most favorite kajal is the Maybelline colossal kajal and I have used around 15 of them. Even if I wish to experiment any other new launches, I would always have a backup of the colossal kajal.

PACKAGING:

The new Maybelline colossal super black kajal comes in a black and yellow paper packaging with all details at the back of the pack. The actual kajal comes in a black twisted pencil form and looks classy than the previous yellow packaging.

MY REVIEW:
I love how they have improved the intensity of this kajal. The kajal is of jet black shade and is extremely pigmented. It glides on so smoothly that you would just need a single stoke of the kajal to get that deep intensity. It gives a bold look to your eyes and you can easily smudge it below your waterline to intensify it further,

They say it stays on for 16 hours but I tried it for 12 hours and it did not smudge even a bit and stayed fresh without fall offs. Since this is creamy and extremely pigmented, you need to remove it well, because it can stay on your waterline for long hours.

This is a perfect kajal for everyday makeup, perfect for office and college goers. It gives a neat and clean look to your face and brightens up your face because of the intensity and deep jet black color. You can also use it on your eye lids as a eye liner and it works perfectly well.

PROS:

1. Jet black color
2. No smudging
3. Highly pigmented.
4. Soft Texture.
5. Waterproof.
6. Suitable for everyday use.
7. Long lasting.

CONS:

NIL

FINAL VERDICT:

There are no drawbacks in this new launch of Maybelline, which is enough to say that it is a great product! I would highly recommend this product to everyone.

RATING:

5/5

L’oreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer Review

Hello Hello,

So today I am back with another review, L’Oreal Paris Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer. If you want to know the top 10 primers in India, please let me know in the comments.

What is the use of a primer?
Primer seals open pores, especially the minute pores below your eyes, right where your cheeks start. It makes skin smooth and soft. It is non-comodogenic, meaning they wont clog your pores and irritate the skin. It makes it easier to apply makeup and makes your makeup to stay on for a long time.

Packaging:

L’oreal base magique primer comes in a transparent tub packaging, a glass jar and a plastic cap. Again, there is no pump dispenser, but I really don’t care because it is a thick product and it might not spill or you might not have issues taking the product from the tub. Some people find it unhygienic to dip fingers into the tub to take out the product but I am okay with it because we can never expect everything to be perfect always.

Texture:

L’oreal base magique primer has a very thick, creamy consistency, which is very very very soft. It almost feels like powder when you feel it between your fingers. It is pale purplish-pink in color and has no definite fragrance.

My Experience :

When I started using it, I loved the way it sealed my pores. It did definitely make my makeup stay on longer but did not prevent it from becoming oily. I love the way this product glides smoothly on the skin. It does not make my skin feel greasy or oily on application. It did not clog my pores. Overall, this product stood up to my expectation.

Foundation blends easily and smooth and since it has a thick consistency, you will only require a little amount of the product to work on your face. This primer contains silicone and it does not settle in fine lines.

Price :

Rs. 950

Quantity :

15ml

Pros :

1. Gives a smooth and soft finish to the skin.
2. Does not make skin oily or greasy.
3. Makes the foundation last longer.
4. Only a small quantity is required.

Cons:

1. Jar packaging, some people might feel unhygienic.
2. Contains silicone.

Final Verdict:

I love this product to bits mainly because it is glides on smoothly, gives a smooth and satin finish and makes my makeup stay on for a long time. Yes, I would highly recommend this product to everyone!

5 Products I will Repurchase!

Hello Hello,

In this blog post I will be reviewing 5 products which I keep repurchasing again and again. I have normal-oily skin and I always had hyper pigmentation problems. But these 5 products worked wonders for my skin.

1. Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face wash

Any Indian girl would have had at least one tube of this product in her life. Yes, Himalayas face wash is a huge hit in India especially among college goers. I have heard a lot of people praising this product and so do I. It does a decent job of cleaning your skin, after all, what more can you expect from a cleanser. It gives a clean and fresh feeling to your skin, and maybe that is why this product was a huge hit.

2. La Shield Sunscreen Gel

I got introduced to this sunscreen by a dermatologist back in Chennai, when I told her that most of the sunscreens I have used made my skin oily, dull and greasy. She recommended this sunscreen to me and the best part about this sunscreen is that it works like a primer. It does not make your skin oily, spreads onto your skin like a powder or like a silicone based primer. And it perfectly guards my skin from harmful rays because it has SPF 40 with PA+++ Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB. The only drawback is that, this sunscreen is available only in certain pharmacies in Chennai and it is always out of stock when I try to buy it online.

3. Aloevera Gel

This product is my all time favorite. Alovera gel is hydrating and gives a cooling effect to your skin, also, if you have sun burns or rashes, it is said to treat and heal them. I use this everyday in my night time skin care routine and I always wake up with soft, supple skin. I use this as a moisturizer during summers.

4. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula

I have extremely dry skin on my hands and legs, and since the time I started using this product, I did not face any dryness. I had visible scars on my hand, due to an allergy, and after using this product, the scars diminished. I would never replace this product with another ever in my life. I use it only during the night mainly because it does not have SPF.

5. Nivea Lip Butter

Nivea lip balms have worked amazingly well for me. I use this lip balm everyday and it does its job well, it keeps my lips well hydrated.
